The Black Male Development Symposium (BMDS) will be hosted at Arcadia University, 450 S. Easton Road, Glenside, PA, on Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We expect to have approximately 1,200 attendees consisting of middle school students, high school students, college students, parents, teachers and professionals from the surrounding Delaware Valley counties, the Tri-State areas (Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey), as well as Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. We invite you to support the Symposium by providing scholarships for those students who want to attend but may not be able to afford the fee for attending.
BMDS is celebrating it’s 7th year of the Black Male Development Symposium with the Seven [Tickets] of Success which are a packaged set of seven student tickets that can be purchased for $200. These tickets can be given to youth, organizations and programs as a gift from you to show you are committed to the Symposium and the programming it provides. Anyone who purchases the set of seven (7) tickets will be featured in the program booklet as part of the S.O.S. Circle who’s primary aim is to stop the distress signal that our young men are sending out to the world and themselves and showing that as committed adults we are dedicated to improving their quality of life in the areas of Education, Health, Ecnomics and Criminal Justice.
